Roomates Wanted !
Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness ! (and maybe a few small parties :)

The straight | skinny on these two guys, Sid and Art:
  • description: Looking for a May move in date. Latest possible early June before Fall semester starts.
  • 01 who: (me) mid-20s, sometime writer, sometime photo guy, builds webpages, works in a gallery.
  • 02 who: (art) mid-20s, college student, looking forward to getting a detailed rampant gryphon tat.
  • what we want: 3 BR to share with one other person, or 2 BR. Bathroom number not important.
  • where we want:
  • the Jefferson, Lincoln Park or Wicker Park (dare we hope?) neighborhoods in Chicago
or suburban Des Plaines, and adjacent towns (as far east as Evanston and west as Mount Prospect).
Conveniently close to public transportation is a plus. Art has a car. I don't. My 21 speed just died.
  • why we want: (the official press release)
  • Peace and Quiet is Good.
Having your own space is important.
I'd like to be able to sit down and write whenever I want without having to shout down anybody to quiet them. I need a small corner for meditation - a coat closet is not the best place to try and do whatever it is that you're supposed to be doing with your chakras. I would love to invite a friend over for tea and lounge in the common area or living room. I want to sleep as long as I need to and not have any disruptions (ie: the noise of half a dozen teenagers rampaging and raiding the fridge for munchies).
And for the umpteenth time, no more embarrasing, untimely bedroom intrusions from the parental units. So, time enough to move out.
how $ we are: otherwise known as ("how much trouble are we getting ourselves into, dude?")

Both Art and I can afford to spot 400$ each per month plus divided utilities. I'm bringing in a computer for my graphics and web work, and will necessitate a phoneline of my own. That's something that I'll take care of. Food, heat/AC, ComEd, and other workings of the (place) we'll discuss more extensively. Equal sharing sounds like a good idea, and we're open to discussion. As is the norm, we can plunk down a month's rent for deposit.
That's pretty much it - and we'd like to hear what the third guy has to say (:
