Everybeautifuloneofyou from Tasmania, Mainland and overseas... I'm taking the cue from Annie and writing one of those big letters
- I usually don't enjoy them myself, but there's so much I have to say and so little time to write it in.

Okay, so I'm in Adelaide for the Telstra 2000 Adelaide International Festival, oh, and the Fringe festival, too. The last week and a half have gone so quickly, and I'm in a complete daze (constant hangover) and I've fallen in love. Let me elaborate.

I am at a multimedia centre called NGAPARTI. It is very stylised, very trendy, very 'spensive. @ the moment, there is a talk going on about literature vs multimedia, et cetera. Okay. So, this afternoon I'm going to the Mizumachi barbecue with the cast and crew of the show - it's our day off. Actually, I'm in Team A, and our run of shifts finished last night. Boohoo. I'm really sad about that. I kinda let the whole Ishinha experience into my heart - the people, the set, the vibe... I even got to tear Scott Hick's ticket at the door!

After this, I'm off to Clearlight - it's a gorgeous *selfserve* healthfood store with a beautiful cafe attatched. Grocery shopping is an amazingly difficult thing to do with such a tight schedule. I've not seen too many shows since I've been here, because of the time I've spent working on the show, but now my shift's over, I get to see some kick ass theatre and go to some exhibitions, too. Oooh, I got to see one of my favourite bands, George two nights ago. You've gotta check them out. They're from Brissie, very jazz, a bit indie rock...

I've been cast in Checkov's Cherry Orchard as Dunyasha, and we go straight into production as soon as we get back. I still haven't started my research yet! There are two MASSIVE silver goldfish(!) doing laps of a huge fishbowl in front of me. They are very beautiful, and just a little bit scary.

I've almost rehashed all my Japanese from high school, and learned some new words, too since I've been on set. *Otsukarisamadeshita* means "Good show!" I can't begin to explain how exciting the festival(s) has/have been. There is so much on. So much to see, so much to do. I've seen brilliant minds in action, people I know from ages ago, schmoozed (although I can't handle that word) and, wow, I've just had a ball. I've been tired because I've not had more than five hours sleep most nights, but with no yoga this morning, I schlepped in. Gaku and Hiro, a couple of the guys from the cast stayed with us last night, wow, it's so great having people from Japan living day to day with you.
I'm sure a lot of you can appreciate that. I've learned so so much about the world this week.

I'm finally feeling well again after that sleep, and I'm off to have a nice day - seeing the vca graduate's production of Doestoyevsky's The Idiot tonight. Unfortunately I'm missing BioMachines to see it - a part installation, performance art cum club machine show down @ the docks... ah, such is life.

I hope everyone is shiny and happy, at home or abroad, I have to tell you all that I'm moving out in about a month, so I'll email you all my new contact details, okay?

There are some AMAZING lectures and masterclasses that I'm doing over the next two weeks...
I wish I could tell you about everything right now, but time restricts.

I will send everyone an email when my *brandnewwebsite* is up (in about a month's time). I have some shit that I have to say to people individually, too, so you can look forward to some more corrospondi...

All my love - I miss you much,
